Greece is open for the summer season. While still requiring that visitors follow all COVID-19 protocols and be fully vaccinated or provide a negative PCR test before arriving, the Aegean coast is one of the few European destinations that accepts American tourists. And you can fly in style this summer: Emirates airlines has announced that it will resume daily services to Athens via Newark. The Dubai-Athens-Newark flight will operate daily with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER offering year-round connectivity. “Since the launch of the route in 2017, we have seen Greece continue to be a destination of choice for American travelers, particularly during the summer months,” said Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, divisional vice president of Emirates for the United States and Canada. “The resumption of this route is particularly exciting as we will be able to reconnect one of the largest metropolitan areas in America and Dubai through one of the largest capitals in Europe.”
